Apple confirms that Siri will remain exclusive to the iPhone 4S. In an answer to an inquiry from the developer Michael Steeber, asking about a possible special Siri-enabled iOS build for iPod touch and iPhone 4 owners, Apple responded with a resounding “no”.
FSM EXCLUSIVE DEAL “Siri only works on iPhone 4S and we currently have no plans to support older devices,” wrote Apple’s representative in the answer.
The jailbreak community already fully ported Siri to the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 4G but unfortunately there’s no way at to release the port to the public at the moment. We’re still waiting for a workaround….
