Snoop Lion ( formerly known as Snoop Dogg ) teamed up with New York based reative marketing agency CITIA to release a new iOS app called ‘Snoop Lion’s Reincarnated: Track Notes App’ in order to promote his new album.
- This free app includes full audio for “La La La,” “Here Comes the King,” and “Lighters Up.” Once the full album drops (April 23, 2013), all the tracks — with supporting artists like Drake, Chris Brown, and Busta Rhymes — will be available.
- Beautifully styled, comprehensively detailed. “Lyric videos” make each song pop visually with animated text. Interviews with producers, writers, and music video directors (including Eli Roth — “Hostel”) break down the stories behind the songs.
- Photographer/filmmaker Willie T’s pix give you candid, gorgeous looks at an album being made. See Snoop in Jamaica, in the studio, with plenty of “Lighters Up.” Each of the first three songs come with music videos.
- Snoop talks about his transformational journey during his recent trip to Jamaica. Go behind the scenes with Diplo, working with Snoop on this reggae influenced album. Get studio insight from REINCARNATED’s talented producers and writers, including Angela Hunte (co-writer, “Empire State of Mind”), Jovi Rockwell, and Dre Skull. And find out how Snoop managed to bring rivals Popcaan and Mavado together for a song about…unity.
