Ryan Petrich Releases Fix For iOS 7 Mail Attachment Encryption Bug

fix for iOS 7 attachment encryption bug

This week, security researcher Andreas Kurtz discovered that email attachments are not encrypted in iOS 7.0.4 – iOS 7.1. This is not that big of a deal, but as usual, people are making it seem worse than it is. However it is still a security bug found in iOS, and even if Andreas informed Apple about the bug and they are working on a fix, it is unclear when a new iOS 7 update containing the patch will be released. If you think this is a big deal for you, and you can’t wait on Apple to patch the bug, you’re in luck. Ryan Petrich has released a fix today and you can find it in Cydia via Ryan’s repo: http://rpetri.ch/repo/
