Court Awards Damages Against AT&T Due To ‘Data-Throttling’

Matt Spaccarelli, AT&T user, recently sued the US wireless giant in small claims court, and won. The courts made the decision after a fairly quick case and granted Mr Spaccarelli $850 in damages.

It’s no secret that iPhone owners using AT&T’s unlimited data plan have been suffering so-called ‘data-throttling’ for a while now. Many users are either jumping ship to another network or simply can’t do anything as they don’t have enough information available to them on the matter.

Not Matt Spaccarelli. The AT&T user recently sued the US wireless giant in small claims court, and won.  The courts made the decision after a fairly quick case and granted Mr Spaccarelli $850 in damages.

While you can’t join him and make this matter a class-action lawsuit, you can however make it a personal matter and follow in his footsteps in going to small-claims court with the help of Mactech.

Maybe if enough people do decide to take the matter into their own hands, AT&T might sit up and take notice of whats going on and whats fair.
