SpotBright: Adding Quick Launch Shortcuts To Spotlight Search

In 3.0, if you had hidden icons, the apps wouldn’t show up in your searches. Now at least in 3.1 they do. But SpotBright takes it even further.

SpotBright (in the BigBoss repo) is what Apple should’ve done with the Spotlight search feature on the iPhone and iPod Touch. In 3.0, if you had hidden icons, the apps wouldn’t show up in your searches. Now at least in 3.1 they do. But SpotBright takes it even further. Leaving an icon/short cut on your search page, you can quickly launch your most commonly used apps. No more scrolling thru 8 pages or typing in the app name.

Taking over where QuickGold left off with 3.0, SpotBright is a nice welcome. The developers are currently working to add more features and search results. So just head on over to Cydia, and search SpotBright. Works with firmware 3.0 and later.
