iTunes 12.2 With Beats 1 and Apple Music Support

Apple has released iTunes 12.2 for OS X, introducing desktop support for Apple Music and Beats 1. iTunes 12.2 can be downloaded right now via the Updates tab in the Mac App Store.

Jump over the break to check out what’s new in iTunes 12.2 …

With Apple Music support, the new iTunes brings several changes to the music portion of the app. “For You” displays recommended music that you might like based on the preferences you’ve entered during the initial Apple Music setup and past music you’ve listened to. There’s also a “New” section that offers new and trending music.

Apple Music Connect is Apple’s artist-centric social network. You can read status updates and check out videos, photos and other content from your favorite artists.

Of course there’s a Beats 1 radio station section and other radio stations curated by music experts based on various songs and artists that you liked.

It seems  that Windows users will have to wait a little bit longer. Or just use one of our two tutorials on how you can listen to Beats 1 right now:
