TheNovus Cracked App Shop

What’s up everyone this is AnthonyKash from over at TheNovus.net. I couldn’t find anything really happening at the moment in the iPhone/iTouch jailbreaking community. So with that said I’m here to invite everyone over to our App Shop at TheNovus.net which is located at http://thenovus.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=165.

As you can see most of these App’s are cracked by Mysterious, AKA iMario, the developer of our favorite iPhone preferences add on “Supreme Pref’s”. A big thanks to Mysterious and the others for cracking all these wonderful App’s. We welcome everyone to join us over at TheNovus.net and remember to please register and support us along with FSMdotCOM. Remember if you download an App please donate to the crackers and if you really like the App support the developer and go out and buy it.

Apple’s AppStore on the WWW

appstore

Maybe some of you might knew about this, but i just found out about it. The Apple AppStore is finally on the web. The appstore itself it was a revolutionary release, changing the way users conception about finding and install applications for their mobile phones.

This online version of the App Store, which is clearly not sanctioned by Apple, runs on Google’s App Engine. As Amit Agarwal notes, Apple uses a rather cryptic XML format for delivering the pages in iTunes. However, the developers of the online App Store have found a way to decrypt these XML files and render them as regular HTML.

There are some limitations tho, because at one point or the other, you need to run iTunes in order to install an app. Given Apple’s litigious nature, we don’t know if this version of the App Store will be around for a very long time, but it’s a great resource if you just want to link to an app in the store, for example, without your users having to open the desktop iTunes app (which, after all, is not available on all operating systems).

iPod Invented in 1979 By a British Inventor, Not By Apple

300px-kane

Kane Kramer ( the inventor of digital audio player ) , invented and built the device in 1979 – when he was just 23.

His invention, called the IXI, stored only 3.5 minutes of music on to a chip – but Mr Kramer rightly believed its capacity would improve.

His sketches at the time showed a credit-card-sized player with a rectangular screen and a central menu button to scroll through a selection of music tracks – very similar to the iPod.

He took out a worldwide patent and set up a company to develop the idea.

But in 1988, after a boardroom split, he was unable to raise the £60,000 needed to renew patents across 120 countries and the technology became public property.Apple used Mr Kramer’s patents and drawings to defend itself in the legal wrangle in 2007.A staggering 163million iPods have been sold since the device was launched by Apple in 2001.Every minute, another 100 are snapped up worldwide.

Watch Live TV, Record DVR Programs and Watch Recorded Films on Your iPhone

The first exciting news from Macworld 2009 came late Monday afternoon when Sling Media PR director Brian Jaquet announced that we will see the much anticipated SlingPlayer for the iPhone by the end of the quarter. If you own a version of their SlingBox set top, this app will allow you to watch live TV, record DVR programs, and even watch recorded films over the air with a 3G or wifi connection.

Six months ago at WWDC, Sling showed off a proof-of-concept SlingPlayer on a jailbroken iPhone. Sling also informed reporters that they were using a jailbroken phone because they had not been accepted into Apple’s Developer Program.  From that moment, the rumor mill went into overdrive about why we have not seen an Apple approved SlingPlayer in the app store.

Along with the exciting iPhone news, Sling Media also announced that their streaming site, sling.com will begin supporting OS X via a browser plugin. For the first time, Mac users will be able to stream HD TV on their browsers from the SlingPlayer. Very exciting to see that Sling is finally showing Apple some love and I, for one, can’t wait to see the demo in person.

iPhone and iPod Touch F.A.Q.

What is jailbreaking?
Jailbreaking refers to ‘breaking the iPod Touch and iPhone free from the clutches of Apple’. In other words you are hacking the iPod/iPhone inorder to gain access to its files so you can modify your device.

Is jailbreaking illegal?
NOOOOOOO!!!! Ok , this really bugs me. I keep getting emails that ask me the same question. IT IS YOUR DEVICE, YOUR PROPERTY! Once you bought it you can do what ever you want with it. Nobody cares what you do with it.

Ok, but does jailbreaking void my warranty?
Of course. Technically it voids your warranty. But if something goes wrong with your device, all you need to do is hit restore, and there is no way for apple to find out  if your device was hacked!

Are cracked apps illegal?
Another question i get emailed about a lot. Really now?!?!? Yes of course it is. You are stealing from the developers! Again, to get myself heard : from the devs, not from apple. Apple is just a 2 way sucking machine. Sucks money from you and from devs. Yes i know, this blog provides cracked apps as well. Why? So you can try it cracked, and if it really suits your needs to buy it. Take it as a fully functional, no time limit demo of the app. Now you can be an ipocrit that accuse me of providing links to cracked apps, but once you done accusing me, you start to download music. Anyway to make a resume : Yes it is illegal , and if you like the app, buy it!!!

Can Apple tell if i have cracked apps?
Do you plan on telling them?

I am a paranoid pussy question : Will i get arrested if i use cracked apps?
NO!!! again nobody will know that you download cracked apps, besides you. And your conscience that will tell you every night before you go to sleep that you just stole from the developers 🙂

A couple of days ago, I was contacted by Pavel Egorkin, one of the developers of mySMS from iSoft.com, and he told me to stop using a crack for their application and gave me a key code to register the app. That mailed blew my mind and I couldn’t belive it.

I took my phone and I was about to enter the code and register mySMS, when I was shocked that I really was about to do that. “What am I doing? This doesen’t belong to me…. I got this because all the wonderful people on my blog. This doesn’t belong to me. “

And I sent a mail back to Pavel and told him, that I am not going to use if for me, as  much as I appreciate it, but I am going to give it to somebody that Is reading my blog.

I don’t want to be a fuckin thief, I want to help people, not steal from them. Pavel was so kind, and provided me with some codes and there will be 3 winners on this contest not just one as I planned.

The codes are for mySMS secure version. Now, Pavel will send me a video tutorial on how to use mySMS secure version to it’s full potential. Unfortunately , they are busy now, and they didn’t have time to polish the video. The video will be up on my blog as soon as I got my hands on it.

CRACKULOUS – THE FUTURE OF iPhone/iPod COMMUNITY

What is Crackulous?

Ever wondered how some crackers are able to crack so many applications so quickly? The secret is a new revolutionary tool called Crackulous.

Crackulous is the successor to my very popular script xCrack. xCrack was created to allow anyone, anywhere to crack applications from Apple’s AppStore. All you needed to do was buy the app, run xCrack, and then you could share the app with the community. It took out all the tedious work of cracking an application manually. This saves a significant amount of time, especially for those who crack many applications.

Crackulous takes the concept of xCrack, and takes it to the next level. By turning it into an iPhone application, and adding a full GUI, cracking is now easier than ever! Now people who aren’t technical at all are able to crack their applications and share them with the community! Crackulous is the most powerful cracking application ever created for the iPhone cracking community.
