About a week ago, pod2g was teasing us with an untethered iOS 5 jailbreak. A few days later pod2g announced that he managed to untethered jailbreak an iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1 . Today we get some more good news, as pod2g managed to untethered all A4 iOS devices running the latest public release of iOS ( iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, first gen iPad, iPod Touch 3G, iPod Touch 4G, AppleTV 2 ) . Unfortunately there’s no word on a ( any kind ) jailbreak for the iPhone 4S.
There’s no word on when this jailbreak will be released or which tool will use the exploit. In the meantime, save your blobs with TinyUmbrella, stay away from fake jailbreaks and NEVER EVER pay for a jailbreaking or unlocking software.
NOTE: If you need to unlock your device, don’t just update to a stock iOS 5.0.1 just yet.
