Earlier today pod2g has announced that he successfully untethered jailbroken an iPad 3 running iOS 5.1. There is still no word on when a new jailbreak will be released, but we hope it will be soon. In the meantime check out the video above.

After seeing a video of a jailbroken iPhone 4S and a picture of a jailbroken iPad 2, there’s not much to add to the subject. The jailbreak is almost done, and planetbeing just informed us that the tool is in test mode but a release is imminent. We will keep you informed stay tuned…

First the dream team announced that they are out of Apple’s sandbox. Today, planetbeing said that he finally got unsigned code running of his iPhone 4S with ‘the stuff’ that will go into the new jailbreak. Planetbeing also said that there’s a lot of work still left to be done, and there’s still no ETA. We will keep you updated. Stay tuned…

About a week ago, we told you that pod2g has joined forces with planetbeing, MuscleNerd and p0sixninja and they are all working together now to find a way to release the iPhone 4S/iPad 2 jailbreak. Well it turns out this jailbreak is truly going to be a team effort, and according to MuscleNerd saurik made some major contributions yesterday and they’ve moved forward. There’s still no ETA for a release, but we will keep you updated. Stay tuned…
