Back in 1996, Apple released Mac OS 7.5.5 which required a Power Macintosh 5500 to run. Fast forward almost 20 years later and developer Nick Lee managed to port the OS onto his Apple Watch running the latest WatchOS 2 update. So, back in the day to run such an OS you needed a 17.5 x 15.1 x 16.0 ( 44.5 cm, 38.4 cm, 40.6 cm ), 47 lbs ( 21.3 kg ) computer, today all you need is a smartwatch.
