Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has released its first tablet – the Mi Pad. If an iPad Mini, an iPhone 5c and Android would get drunk and have a threesome, this would be the retarded child of that love triangle. The Mi Pad has the same resolution display as an iPad mini with Retina ( 2048×1536 ), a 2.2GHz Nvidia K1 processor, 2GB RAM and a choice of 16GB or 64GB storage. Oh yeah… even the Android running on the Mi Pad was heavily customized to look like iOS.

CarPlay, is Apple’s answer to the interactive in-car infotainment craze. But YouTuber DMCPat didn’t wait around for the Apple sanctioned iPad integration—he built in an iPad complete with car-ready UI into the dash of his 1981 Delorean. Doc Brown would be proud.

Back on greenpois0n days, Jaywalker9988 and westbaer have released a cool little tweak called Animate which allows you to change the default iPhone/iPad boot logo with a video logo or animated logo. Fast forward a few years, and the tweak is broken on iOS 7 and arm64 devices. Luckily, CoolStar has submitted an Animate fix for iOS 7 to BigBoss repo, which is compatible with arm64, but the actual Animate preference bundle is not. This means that you cannot set your boot logo in settings like you would normally be able to on a pre-A7 device. Instead, you will need to do it manually. Following the update of MobileSubstrate, Saurik has updated today Substrate Safe Mode. The update makes the MobileSubstrate feature even safer on new iOS and iPhone 5s, iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina display.
For those unfamiliar with the package, Safe Mode is a feature of MobileSubstrate that prevents your device from entering a permanent crash cycle by giving you a chance to uninstall malfunctioning extensions without a complete device restore.
Update is highly recommended.
