  • Save and upload the file to the same directory that it was originally in
  • Go onto the iPhone and respring

It seems that when I try and enable the battery switch the usage menu disappears. I have the boolean set exactly like you do. Please help.

  2. Hypnozis Says:

I have exactly the same problem… and I need the Usage Menu… (but I want battery percentage)

  3. murdafsm Says:

ill ask some1 to come and comment, he can help you….

  4. Hypnozis Says:

    I found the problem : it's the un-unified iPod. I changed true/false for over 6 times… and I understood : When it's true, there's a Usage menu, but when it's false… this usage menu disappears.

  5. Tobiasz Says:

So you have to have both enabled at the same time? I tried that and the usage menu disappeared for me. Did you get this to work?

  6. murdafsm Says:

Dr. Puttingham did it. i sent him a mail, and asked him to come and comment and help you guys….

  7. Tobiasz Says:

Thanks. Hope the answer comes soon!

  8. BeSweeet Says:

This didn't work for me. I used Notepad in Windows. I added this:

    <key>gas-gauge- battery</key>
    <true/>

I saved it, put the new one on my iPhone, respringed, and there wasn't anything new in Usage.

  9. Eric Says:

can someone give me info on how to SSH into my iPhone 3G that is NOT jailbroken?! i'd really like to have the percentage meter in the top corner! lol

    thanks in advance

  10. murdafsm Says:

as far as i know, you cant SSH into a non-jailbroken device…

  11. Tobiasz Says:

Still no answer! This Doctor guy seems to be BSing and doesn't know shit.

  12. murdafsm Says:

maybe, but i know he did it. i would help you, but i said it before and i say it again: i do not have OS 3. I do not need beta tester versions. I depend too much on my phone to test shit on it. so….

you can also try this : http://www.funkyspacemonkey.com/howto-enable-nume...

  13. Tobiasz Says:

It seems that in beta 4 this works.

  14. Dr Puttingham Says:

The good Doctor DOES know shit! And he even knows Jack Schitt, trust me! Sorry, been busy. I own an IT Consulting business and I also am a MOD at xda-developers.com, sorry.

the m68ap.plist method doesn't appear to work anymore, at least with my beta 5. The com.apple.springboard.plist did work, however I never seem to get the toggle in the Usage menu anymore, dunno why and really don't care. I just need that numeric is all, nuff said.

BTW, my iphonebrowser doesn't seem to work anymore with Windows 7 and beta 5. Went back to Iphone Tunnel Suite and all is well.

As an aside, I like to wish a Hapy Mother's Day to all you muthers out there (and you knwo who you are, LMAO!)

    Regards,
    Steven

You can't SSH into a non jailbroken iPhone. You need to jailbreak and install OpenSSH in Cydia.
