New day, new app in Cydia: CamelBrowserSID . This is a free, very small and quite fast web browser for the iPhone and iTouch. It also has a compact UI which makes me think this is a bit better than MobileSafari. But i didn’t use it as much, so i can’t confirm that. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter. The best one is the one YOU feel comfortable with.
CBrowserSID is actually quite fast and has a compact UI which makes browsing a breeze. Because this is a free app, it is only natural to be ad supported. Because the developers didn’t want to take pixels out of your browsing experience, they had a splash page when the app is loading with a block of google ads, and in order to start browsing you will need to tap on a button that says “start” . Yeah, i know … some of you people want all the best for free. Well…
There is only one thing i don’t like about the app. Just like MobileSafari when you press the home button to exit the app, the app actually keeps on running on the background and it is a memory hog.Other than that, i like the simplicity and how fast it is comparing to MobileSafari.
