Pear is a simple device that replaces your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad on the docking station.

By now we all know about the advantages of Apple’s AirPlay which was introduced in iOS 4. What isn’t often discussed are the few disadvantages AirPlay has when it’s pitched against the likes of BlueTooth when utilised for music.

For me, there are 2 snags to AirPlay: 1 – Wifi connection is a must, 2 – I don’t have an AppleTV in every room. Enter, Pear.

FSM Interview: iH8sn0w , Developer of iREB

So I had a few moments to sit and chat with iH8sn0w, the creator of iREB (iTunes Error Bypasser). His tool along with a custom built IPSW, made it possible to jailbreak the 3.1 beta’s. Here’s what we talked about. He really didn’t want to get into to much personal stuff on the record…so we left it out. He didn’t want to comment on any of the other teams.

Google Analytics Finally Arrives For iPhone and iPod Touch

analytics

I was waiting for this for a loong looong time. Finally Michael Jensen decided to create such an application for this wonderful device. If you are a blogger, or a website owner, or basically you got anything going own on the www. , than i can place a safe bet that you are obsessed with this word ” analytics ” . I was until like 2 months ago. I was checking my stats every hour. Until i realized that, it was useless to do so.

That doesnt mean, that i stopped checking my analytics. Not at all, but now i calculate every move i make in this world. Anyway, this post is not about me teaching you how to blog. So let’s get back to the main subject. GOOGLE ANALYTICS ON MY ( and yours ) iPhone !!!!!!! I was really surprised when I’ve stumbled upon Analytics App.com

When you first load the app , it will ask you to insert the email address and the password that you use to login into your Google Analytics account. This is usually your gmail address and password. Once you are logged in, you step into the wonderful world of analytics, but now, this world is ON THE GO.

Continuing this post is useless. If you are interested in something like this, and you are reading this post, that means that my writing journey for this post stops here. I don’t need to explain any further what is analytics, what you can do with it and so on.

I will attach screenshots of this app below, and you can click on them to enlarge the pic and see what this app can offer you.

Jaadu VNC for iPhone

This is a guest post by iRoc, and today he is going to fill you in on one of his most favorite apps :  Jaadu! icon

What exactly is Jaadu and why would I need it, You might ask. Well, let’s say you are at work and you need a file, but that file is on your computer at home. You could call home and try to talk someone through navigating to the file and sending it to you. Oh, but that almost always is a head ache at best. Wouldn’t be great if you could just get in touch with the Enterprise , and teleport back home and get the file? No Jaadu is not about to save you thousands on travel expenses or make your daily commute magically disappear. Though Jaadu was formerly known as Teleport, and it’s the next best thing to a real deal teleporter.

Jaddu will allow you to remotely access any of your computers anytime you want or need right from your iPhone. You will have 100% control over your distant computer, or the one that’s just out of arms reach if you want to roll that way. 100%? That’s right 100%!

Your desktop even shows on the iPhone screen. So you can navigate to the necessary file and send it to yourself via email, instant messenger, any way that you could send that file if you were sitting right there at your computer normally, and everyone is happy and you are the big hero of the day in your boss’s eye.

Here’s how I used it last. I was at the store and I saw a DVD for a movie I had been meaning to download and watch, but always seemed to forget when I was at my computer. So I reached in my pocket got out my iPhone called Scotty and said, “Scotty one for transport.” N o not really. I opened Jaddu selected my laptop at home. Opened Firefox, went to mininova.org and searched for the movie. Once I found it I started the download. I could even check back in periodically to see how the download was coming along. Anything you can do sitting at your computer with your keyboard and mouse you can do on the screen of your iPhone with Jaadu.

Get FSMdotCOM On Your iPhone/Touch Springboard

logo_fsm1

Lately i’ve noticed that more and more visits to this blog are comming from iPhones. So i thought i would make this easier for you guys out there. If you have room for one more icon on your SpringBoard, you can now put this blog there as if it would be an app.

Does it make any sense? Well it will in a moment…

First of all you need to open MobileSafari and type my address there : www.funkyspacemonkey.com. Once your on the blog, you need to tap the ” + ” on the bottom of the screen.

img_00091

When you tap that button, you will get a pop-up window and you will have 3 options. You will need to tap the middle option ” Add to Home Screen “

img_00101

Now this is the final step. You will get a new window where you can set the name of the new icon. By default it automatically takes the blogs name Funky Space Monkey. Now this will be too long for a SpringBoard icon, so i suggest you type FSMdotCOM.

img_0013

That’s it. Now you have this blog as a shiny icon on your SpringBoard. Anytime, anywhere , no matter the weather , this blog will be just one tap away.
