Apple has rolled out today a more robust two-step verification for iCloud and iTunes accounts. How exactly does it work? You login to iCloud.com with your ID and password, and if that’s successful a code will be sent to your mobile device. The second step is to enter that code into the website, proving that your password and phone are in the hands of the owner. Once the second step is completed successfully, you will be allowed in to the site.

Jump after the break to learn how to enable the two-step verification….

  • Go to My Apple ID.
  • Select Manage your Apple ID and sign in.
  • Select Password and Security on the left hand side.
  • Under Two-Step Verification, select Get Started and follow the onscreen instructions.
