The iPhone 7 stress tests continue. We took a look at how it handles scratching, heat and bending and now it’s time to test how water resistant the new iPhone actually is.
Apple claims that the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus certified with an IP67 rating, it is fully protected from dust and can also withstand being submerged in 1m (about 3.3 feet) of static water for up to 30 mins.
In the video below you can see the iPhone 7 being fully submerged into fresh water, soda and hot coffee for at least 5 minutes and… it survives!
Not only it survives but the phone will be taken apart to show you how tight the iPhone 7’s water resistance seals are and that there is no liquid going through.
