Feral Interactive announced today that F1 2013 racing simulation game game will be released for the Mac on March 6th. Developed and published by Codemasters on October 2013 for consoles and PC, F1 2013 is the most refined Formula 1 game currently on the market.
Continuing Feral’s latest trend, F1 2013 for Mac will also make it to Steam. All digital copies of the game purchased from anywhere other than Steam will be F1 2013: Classic Edition, while all boxed copies will be the standard edition of F1 2013. If you purchase the game from Steam, you will be able to choose between the standard version of F1 2013 and F1 2013: Classic Edition.
This all sounds confusing, but where you buy the game matters: all copies of the game purchased anywhere other than the Mac App Store will support 16-player cross-platform multiplayer using Steam-Play. However, copies of the game purchased from the Mac App Store will only support ffline split-screen multiplayer only. Needed another reason to prefer Steam than the Mac App Store?
F1 2013 for Mac will cost $49.99 in North America, £29.99 in the UK and €54.99 throughout Europe ( makes sense right? ) . You can pre-order it here.
