MacAPRdoubleTwist released today its new AirPlay Recorder for Mac OS X, an app that allows iTunes users to record and save streaming audio ( such as iTunes Radio ) for offline playback. Once installed, the app appears as an AirPlay device in iTunes. To record, select it from the iTunes AirPlay menu and start playing an audio or radio stream in iTunes.

AirPlay Recorder can be downloaded for free from the doubleTwist website, but the free version allows you to record only 10 seconds samples. For unlimited recording, you’ll need to upgrade to the full version for $9.99.
