Objectified. Helvetica. Two of my favorite documentaries. So it’s only natural that I got excited when I found out that on February 10, Netflix will be premiering a new original documentary series titled Abstract: The Art of Design.
The show will introduce us to eight of the most creative thinkers and imaginative minds working in the world of art and design today and allow us to take a journey through their creative process, explore their work, and discover how their innovative designs have profoundly affected our every day lives.
Abstract: The Art of Design will highlight the creative process behind Tinker Hatfield ( probably the one I’m most interested in the series – Nike shoe designer ), Ralph Gilles ( automobile designer ), Paula Scher ( graphic designer ), Platon ( photographer ), Christoph Niemann ( illustrator ), Bjarke Ingels ( architect ), Ilse Crawford ( interior designer ) and Es Devlin ( stage designer ).
