First iOS 7.1 code suggested that Apple is working on Siri for Apple TV and now, French iOS developer Pierre Blazquez discovered evidence of iPad Touch ID support.

The evidence comes in the form of a BiometricKit bundle in iOS that serves as the framework for the Touch ID functionality, with the bundle being listed as compatible with both iPhone/iPod and iPad families.

Apparently the code is not new in iOS 7.1 and has been there for the past couple of iOS updates. Still, that doesn’t dismiss the fact that sooner or later ( probably sooner ) iPad will gain support for Touch ID.
