Apple won’t allow any browsers on iOS devices besides Safari, so Mozilla is working on a legal workaround, an app dubbed “Junior” built on top of WebKit.
Striving for a “magazine-like feel,” the browser gets rid of the standard URL-bar-based design and tab management, instead laying out the most-visited webpages as buttons on a menu. “Junior” is Mozilla’s response to Safari and what Firefox product designer Alex Limi describes as “a pretty miserable experience.” No word on a timetable for release.
NOTE: if you don’t want to watch the whole presentation, jump to 30:30 to check out ‘Junior’…
