File2Mail – Send Any File From Your iPhone via eMail

New day , new app in Cydia. It’s called File2Mail and it will allow you to take any file(s) from your phone (  including system files ) and send them via email. This is simple and painles and there’s no SSH involved.

First time you will load File2Mail you will have 3 search options : Browse to Select Files, Search in a Directory and Advanced Search Filter.

Browse to Select Files

You just browse your phone’s files and select the ones that you want to send them via email by tapping them.

Search in a Directory

Here you can search for the files that you need in a specific directory. This is usefull if you know exactly what you are looking for and where is situated.

Advanced Search Filter

This option is a little bit tricky and i doubt someone will use it. Basically you can narrow your search results by inputting some parameters : wildcard, create date, modify date and the size of your files you are looking for.

I have no idea what wildcard suppose to mean and really the rest of the data is a little bit off, so i really doubt anyone will use this option. But if you need something like this, well…. you have it.

Now this are the search options. Once you’ve selected your file(s) you need to go back to the main screen and tap the last button on the page Show Selected Files . In the new window you will check if the files there are the ones you want to send and tap the envelope button on the top right side of the screen

In the next windows you will have to input the mail that you want to send the files to and also you will have the ability to insert text for email’s Subject and Body.

Now before you can send the mail you will need to set up your email account. You will need to input the SMTP address of your mail service your login name , passoword and your email address. By default the SMTP address is set to gmail.
