From the very first iPhone OS to iOS 6, there was a background behind the status bar on our devices. But with iOS 7 and the major overhaul of the UI, Apple dropped the background and placed the status bar right on the screen, on top of the wallpaper. Some people like it, some don’t. For the people that don’t like that, and want something, anything behind the status bar to make it pop-out a bit, theres a free tweak in Cydia called BlurBar which adds a customizable blur and color background ( customizable via the tweak’s settings ) as seen in the screenshot above.
BlurBar is available in Cydia via the BigBoss repo.
