A couple of days ago we told you that we got the first tweet from space sent using Tweetie. We told you at the time, that we are not sure if Mac or iPhone was used. Well, it seems that they didn’t use a Mac nor an iPhone, since NASA is pretty much Windows based. I was pretty sure that the tweet was re-routed, but now i tend to think that it wasn’t re-routed to the home base.
In the vid above, you can see former NASA astronaut Leroy Chiao, Mac and iPhone fan, who “visited” space 4 times, including a 6 and a half months “visit”. Today, Leroy is the Executive Vice President of Excalibur Almaz, a commercial venture that hopes to be putting space tourists into true space journeys by sometime in the next few years.
