Apple Tells Customers to Delete Steve Jobs iBook And Download New Version

Apple is sending emails to customers requesting that they re-download the book Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson from the iBookstore because the first version was plagued with some formatting issues, according to a report by Macworld UK.

Some customers who have bought the iBook version of Walter Isaacson’s biography of Steve Jobs have received emails asking them to delete the original and download a new version.

Users are invited to ensure they have the latest version of iBooks installed, then to locate the title and mark it for deletion. The next step is to tap Delete, then tap on Store and sign out of your account. Then sign back in, tap on Purchased and locate Steve Jobs, then tap the iCloud button to re-download.

The formatting issues seem to only have affected the English version of the book. The book is available for $16.99 in the iBookstore. Also available in GreekSpanish ( pre-order ) , Italian ,Catalan ( pre-order ) and Finnish.
