Apple Using openDNS To Block Access To JailbreakMe.com In The Apple Store

But just because it is legal, doesn’t mean that Apple likes it, and now, they are using a free service, openDNS, to redirect all visits to JailbreakMe.com back to Apple.com.

JailbreakMe is the easiest and most convenient jailbreak iOS device users have seen in a while ( or ever ). Because you can jailbreak directly from the device ( all you need is an internet connection ) , and jailbreaking is legal now, lots of people were jailbreaking display iPhone 4’s in Apple Stores all over the world.

But just because it is legal, doesn’t mean that Apple likes it, and now, they are using a free service, openDNS, to redirect all visits to JailbreakMe.com back to Apple.com. Of course this happens only in the Apple Store. You can still jailbreak your iOS device anywhere else, but make sure you use a secure hotspot ( best to use your own ). Remember that Apple already patched the Safari security hole, and they will release it any day now.
