Apple Updates OS X Mavericks To 10.9.2 To Fix SSL/TSL Vulnerability, Bring FaceTime Audio Support and More…

Apple released a major update for OS X Mavericks which fixes the infamous SSL/TSL vulnerability ( for this alone, the update is HIGHLY recommended ), adds the ability to make and receive FaceTime audio calls, block incoming iMessages from individual senders and many other bug fixes.

Mail.app is now more stable and brings an improves the accuracy of unread counts in Mail and better support for Gmail archive mailboxes and labels are also included in this update.

In this video, youtube user TechTechManTV compares the iPhone 5C‘s new FaceTime HD front-facing camera to the iPhone 5’s FaceTime HD camera. Both cameras record 720p HD video and take 1.2 megapixel images; however, according to Apple, the quality and low-light performance of the iPhone 5c’s camera was supposedly upgraded.

Apple Predicting Siri, FaceTime and the iPad in 1987 [video]

Concept video showing off the applications behind Apple’s “Futureshock” Knowledge Navigator concept device from 1987.

Back in 1987 during the era of John Sculley, Apple released a “what if” video describing a device called the Knowledge Navigator. This prescient work anticipated a personal digital assistant a la Siri, a touch screen tablet computer like the iPad, videoconferencing (FaceTime) and more.
