In honor of the Year of the Horse, Beats by Dr. Dre released a limited-edition Beats Solo HD featuring a matte red a gold colorway, respecting the he culturally symbolic representations of good luck and prosperity that marks each Chinese New Year celebration that falls on January 31, 2014.
The set also see a gold Beats logo on each arm wrist and dons the Chinese character for horse, the next zodiac animal on the Lunar New Year, as well as an inverted “fortune” symbol, which is a traditional metaphor for “good fortune will come.” Inside of the headband, three gold imprints of “fortune” are used to represent the past three Chinese dynasties.
In stores by February, the Beats by Dr. Dre Solo HD “Year of the Horse” Limited Edition is available now at retailers in Hong Kong while those in the US can head to the brand’s website and, in the UK, at Harrods.
