A couple of days ago, 9to5mac ( thx everybody for the heads-up ) presented the screenshot above and asked “Landscape homescreen coming to iPhone 4?” . Well, it might, but if it would be a feature of iPhone OS 4.0, I’m sure Apple would mention it, because let’s face it… is a pretty dumb eyecandy feature that makes everybody go gaga over it.
In fact, hints of a dual background ( portrait and landscape ) are included in the firmware’s files ( the iPad has the portrait and lanscape Springboard support ) , but the pop-up that you can see in the screenshot above is a pretty common bug that is present even in firmware 3.1.3. …
If you really want this feature, I’m sure Springboard rotator will be update for OS 4.0 …
