Join Or Organize A Jailbreaking Meetup In Your Area

Are you a jailbreaking aficionado? Do you love showing off your modded phone? Want to chat about tweaks, apps, and more? Now you can use this community to organize a Jailbreaking Meetup in your area!

From Tampa, Florida and New York City, to Valparaiso, Indiana and Everett, Washington, jailbreak meetups are already taking root ahead of this summer’s first ever “Global Jailbreak Meetup Day” – July 10, 2011 – a date set to commemorate the original iPhone jailbreak release.

If you’re unfamiliar with Meetup.com, it’s an online destination for people (7.2 million strong) to organize a local group or find one of the many (thousands) that are already meeting face-to-face around the world. Signing up is free and creating an account is easy. Once you’re logged in, you can either create your own jailbreak meetup location and time (say, Panera in Anytown, USA on May 5th at 3:00 pm), or you can find a scheduled jailbreak meetup that’s already planned somewhere close by and click “count me in” to let the meeting organizer know you’re attending.

To find out more about Jailbreak Meetups, check out the official page and, if you’re so inclined, sign up and connect with others in the jailbreak community. If you do, be sure to tag any relevant tweets, photos, and videos with #JailbreakMeetup.
