Most of you are waiting for iH8sn0w to release Sn0wbreeze, which is a pwnagetool for Windows. Although he said the tool will be released around Christmas and later he said that it will be available later this week , personally i really doubt we’ll see anything issued from iH8sh0w in the near future. But don’t you worry, the good ol’ iPhone DevTeam have their own chicken soup for for the iPhone soul cooking in their lab. RedSn0w 0.9 on its way…
RedSn0w is not as fast as Blackra1n , but a lots of people including me prefer DevTeam’s tools against the speedy tools released by GeoHot. Redsn0w 0.9 will be available for Mac, Windows and Linux and given the problems LogoMe ( application available in Cydia that allows you to change the boot / recovery logos ) is causing on the new FW, the DevTeam thought they should implement it the right way in the new release.
If you are wondering if the new tool will resolve the issues with the 3rd gen iTouch and the iPhone 3Gs with the new iBoot, well… you probably are expecting too much out of this release. It is most unlikely for that to happened because if they could fix those issues , they would released updates to their tools already, they wouldn’t release the fix right now, when iPhone OS 4.0 beta is knocking on our door and we’re just a couple of months away from the full blown release of iPhone OS 4.0 . But never say never, the old cats might have an Ace or two up their sleeves …
