EyeCandy Meets Functionality: The AppStore Got A Facelift

Apple has made some major changes in the AppStore and ( maybe ) this probably explains the problems with the downloads that occurred in the last weeks. If you didn’t check the appstore today, this is what you’ll see now:

First of all you will notice that the background is completely white now. In the top left you’ll see a beautiful 180×180 px display of the app icon and on the right side you will see the name and description. You will be able to see just a partial description of the app and if you want to read it all , you will have to click on “More”. In the description you can also find out what the developer has planned for the future updates.

We also get a much more practical view of the screenshots. We get all the screenshots at once, and we can view them all thanks to a horizontal scrolling.

The side shows the overall assessment, category, and all information about supported languages, the number of MB, seller etc.. Also, you can see more applications from the same developer and at the bottom you’ll find similar applications with the one you are checking in that particular moment.

You can share the link for any app on Twitter and Facebook, send it via email, or add it to your “Wish List”, waiting for price decreases or waiting for some YouTube reviews or whatever your reason might be.

Really nice changes made to the AppStore, but i really hope that Apple is considering some MAJOR changes for the next generation iPhone, and FW as well….
