Clips: Apple Unveils New Video Creation App

Alongside the (RED) iPhone 7, Apple has also unveiled a new first-party video creation app called “Clips”.

With the app users will be able to “create expressive videos” on both the iPhone and iPad. The app lets users combine videos, images and music into one seamless video that can be shared on iMessages, Facebook or Instagram.

Users can create animated captions and apply effects like comic book filters, speech bubbles, shapes and full-screen animated posters.

You can record video directly within the app or add video and photos from your device.

Clips will be available on the App Store for free beginning in April, and is compatible with iPhone 5s and later, the new 9.7-inch iPad, all iPad Air and iPad Pro models, iPad mini 2 and later, and iPod touch 6th generation. Devices must be running iOS 10.3.
