bitwarden: A Free, Open Source, Cross Platform Password Manager

a free, open-source, encrypted and cross-platform password manager

We all have dozens of online accounts. All of them require a password. Complex and unique. Password re-use is a huge problem with large data breaches becoming more and more common these days, with billions of data records lost or stolen since 2013.

So what can you do to protect yourself? You can create a complex and unique password for each and every online account you own and then write each of those passwords on a piece of paper for reference. But that’s just insane. The best way to approach this is to use a password manager.

VLC Video Player iPad App Submitted To The App Store

VLC (Video Lan Client) is a very popular open source media player for the Mac and other platforms. One of its strengths is the ability to play a wide variety of video formats and streaming support.

VLC has been ported to the iPad by Applidium with the blessing of the VideoLan team. The app is currently in submission with Apple and is awaiting approval.

After several month of porting, we are proud to announce the release of VLC for the iPad! This application stands out for two reasons. First, it will be available for free on the AppStore. But that’s not all. VLC is an OpenSource project. We are currently preparing our patches for submission to the main VLC tree. And obviously, we will release our current working tree when the app will hit the AppStore. If everything goes well, VLC for the iPad should be available next week.

OpenPWN: Open-Source Payload Development

The goal of OpenPwn is to give would-be developers a simple, clear, and easy to understand starting point for developing jailbreaks. OpenPwn is a simple open-source payload.

With the number of vulnerabilities dwindling in the iPhone OS, there is never been a better time to get the community more involved in developing jailbreaks. When most people in the community decide they would like to help out and try to investigate how to go about it, they typically find little or no help in doing so. Even the official documentation that is available, is typically hard to understand, and in most cases, out-dated information.
