This Google Chrome Extension Brings The iPhone X Display Notch to YouTube

A Chrome extension that brings the magic of the iPhone X’s new display to YouTube by placing a giant, ugly notch on the side of every video.

About a week ago Apple introduced the new iPhone X, and people are going crazy over it. Most people. I’m not one of them. For many reasons.

One of them, of course, is that god damn notch at the top of the screen.

But, if you’re one of those people that will skip the iPhone 8 Plus ( Or skip upgrading all together this year, it’s not the end of the world. Really! ) because of the outdated design, maybe you want to give YouTube Notch Mode a try before buying the iPhone X.

It’s a free Google Chrome extension that brings the magic of the iPhone X display to YouTube. I just installed it, and right away it made me feel like 1,000 bucks.

One of the mockups, created by Thadeu Brandao, stands out the most and features an edge-to-edge display, dual cameras, a front and back made out of glass with a physical home button built into the screen.
