Apple has introduced today a refresh for its Macbook Air line. They feature the same chassis as their predecessors, and come in both 11.6 and 13.3-inch models as before. But the new line of MacBook Air is using Intel’s Haswell processors which will drastically improve the battery live and also promise to boost the integrated graphics performance.
With the new processors, Apple is promising 12 hours of battery life for the 13.3-inch ( 7 hours on previous model ) model, and 9 hours for the 11.6-inch version ( 5 hours on previous model ). Thew new processors will also bring a 40% increase in graphics performance.
The new line of MacBook Air will also have 802.11ac Wi-Fi
Price and availability:
Both models are available today from Apple’s website. The 13.3-inch model starts at $1,099 with 128GB of flash storage, and $1,299 for 256GB. The 11.6-inch model will start at $999 with 128GB, with a 256GB model available for $1,199.
