If you are wondering how yo crack iPhone apps, this is how you do it! Do you feel lucky punk?:P Crack some and share with us 
Note: All credits to Floydianslip for the modification of the XCrack script to allow special characters
Before you begin you will need these items:
SSH client Putty
SSH client WinSCP
DCrypt modified version of XCrack by Floydianslip
Step 1: Install all these items from Cydia (use the Search button):
Erica Utilities
GNU Debugger
iPhone 2.0 Toolchain
Link Identity Editor
OpenSSH
UUID Generator
Step 2: SSH with WinSCP
Step 3: Copy DCrypt to
/private/var/root
Step 4: Set permissions 775
Step 5: Then SSH with Putty
Step 6: Type in:
cd /private/var/root
Step 7: Type in:
./ DCrypt appname (ex: ./DCrypt tictactouch)
Step 8: Wait for script to finish then retrieve cracked .ipa from /private/var/root/Documents/Decrypted/ (I use WinSCP for copying the .ipa to comp)

Hi your script is just amazing!! I used to take about an hour to crack a app, but your scrip does it in under a minut!! Anyway I was intrested if you could tell me if there is a possibility to ajust the script to run on mobileterminal, i tried already (changed the workin dir from $HOME to $~ to give the device permission to create dirs) but i’m stuck on creating a zip. It just won’t work.. PLZ help..

Well i fixed the ‘problem’, it was just a mather of loging in. Pretty dump.. So if you want to crack your app right from your ipod touch of iphone just open terminal (and of course follow this amazing tut) and type login (follow’d by enter), type for user ‘root’ (without the quotes) and for password ‘alpine’(again without the quotes. And just follow the tut from here on

@ murda.. it is “quality shit” all the way! i’m now trying to install the app via a script (so theoradicly i could crack a app, share it and let it install on other device without a pc or anyting) i’ll keep you posted

@murda: hey there, i’m not quite familiar with this kind of thing, so i’ve been wondering what kind of app can be cracked?
in the example above, you are using tictactouch, which is available one for free, and another for $1.19. So, assuming that I need to get the free one, install it on my phone, then crack it so that i can have the full version of this?

@jay : no, its nothing like that. ok, lets say you buy an app from the app store. and i want that app. Since you have it , u cant share with me that app. In any way, wifi, bluetooth, nothing. So u need to crack it, make an .ipa file or .app folder out of that app, and then i can have that app … as long as i have a jailbroken iphone. hope that this was clear for you

so basically the .ipa file (the new .app folder) is the cracked appstore program? then you share or pass it to other guys?

@jay : yes .ipa files and/or .app folders that you are downloading from the internet and sync onto your jailbroken iphone, are all cracked apps.

Hi, this sounds great but please help! I have followed your instructions but I am unable to crack, keep receiving following message:
s-iPhone:/private/var/root root# ./DCrypt asphalt4
-sh: ./DCrypt: No such file or directory
s-iPhone:/private/var/root root# ./DCrypt ASPHALT4 1.3.8
-sh: ./DCrypt: No such file or directory
s-iPhone:/private/var/root root#

Hi, thanks for that advice! Just need to clear up one thing though - someone has given me a copy of asphalt4 (uncracked), would this app need to be installed on an iphone first in order to crack it? If not, where would I save the api file on my iphone as dcrypt is unable to locate it?

im not sure how ” someone has given you a copy of asphalt4 (uncracked) ” …. maybe i dunno something, but genuine apps cant be transferred from one person to the other . if that was possible, the cracking was pointless.
You need to have the app in your phone. Im not sure exactly how to do it, because i am not able to get apps from the appstore. only free apps. My region is fucked up. i cant use the store, google maps are useless for me ( no street names, nuttin ) and all that.
But im pretty sure, you need to have the app in your iphone/touch. sync it in your device, and work your magic

Ok, my friend downloaded it through the itunes app store onto his pc, copied the .ipa file from the ‘my docs\my music\itunes\mobile applications’ folder and gave me a copy. I’m guessing it can’t be done, unless it was purchased/downloaded by myself!
