Here’s the MAG-LEV, the world’s first “levitating” turntable. A semi-automatic system that includes a pre-fitted cartridge and tonearm, cueing mechanism, 33.3 and 45 rpm, platter feet and built-in UPS.
The company claims that due to their patented technology, they were able to achieve not only magnetic levitation, but also to maintain an incredibly precise turning of the platter with sensor regulating software.
The turntable comes as semi-automatic, which means that the tonearm will lift itself at the end of a record which will prolong the life of the cartridge.
The MAG-LEV also comes with platter feet which allow the platter to rest in OFF mode. These feet automatically retract when you begin using the turntable. When the tonearm is placed back in its original position, the platter feet will automatically rise up and you can safely switch off the turntable.
In case of power outage, the turntable has a built-in UPS that stores enough power to safely lift the tonearm, stop the record, and return the platter feet to resting position.
