Apple’s App Store Hyperwall at WWDC10 [video]

This hyperwall is powered by 30 Mac Pro towers with Mac OS X Snow Leopard and EVGA NVIDIA GTX 285 graphics cards. As apps are downloaded from the App Store, their data is coalesced via an XML feed every five minutes.

As apps are downloaded from the App Store, their data is coalesced via an XML feed every five minutes. Apps are sorted and scheduled using Cocoa and Objective-C. The data is then passed to an OpenCL kernel, which drives the animation. Quartz Composer brings all the technologies together and renders the final synchronized output using Quartz Composer Visualizer.

New AT&T iPhone Data Plans Kick In One Day Early

AT&T decided to kick in the new data plans one day earlier.

As you know, AT&T was cooking new data plans for future iPhone users and these plans were suppose to go live tomorrow , probably during WWDC. Well , AT&T decided to kick in the new data plans one day earlier.  Maybe we will be able to get the new iPhone sooner as well. Remember that rumors say that the new iPhone will hit the stores during WWDC.

At the moment, no one knows for sure, but the good news is that in less than 24 hours we will find out.

24 Million iPhone 4G Units To Be Shipped In 2010 By Foxconn

Foxconn will ship 4.5 million units in the first half and 19.5 million units for the rest of 2010. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 4G on June 7, 2010 during Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference.

WWDC10 is just around the corner and we expect a new iPhone. Rumor has it that starting June, Foxconn will ship 24 million iPhone 4G units with an improved display, more memory, and a larger battery. Digitimes reports:

iPhone 4G In Stores During WWDC 2010?

Everybody was pretty sure that Apple will reveal the iPhone 4G at WWDC , but usually it takes two weeks before anybody can buy them. However, sources “familiar with the situation” told Mashable that this year, the next gen iPhone will be put on sale during the keynote.

Today, Apple announced the date, time, and ticket price for WWDC 2010. The event will be held June 7-11 at Moscone West in San Francisco and the ticket price is a wooping $1,599. WWDC is the event for anyone involved in building products for iPhone OS, iPod and Mac and over the last two years Apple has reveled both iPhone 3G and 3Gs at WWDC.

More Evidence Of iPhone Firmware 4.0. Yeah, On Its Way…

This is not a surprise, because it is expected that Apple will release a new iPhone at WWDC 2010 , and every new iPhone model needs a new OS version.

A couple of weeks ago we told you that iPhone firmware 3.1.3 can be released any day now and FW 4.0 is on its way. That was based on a screenshot posted by the guys at BGR, with no extra info.  Today , MacRumors, posted an analytics screenshot from Pinch Media which clearly indicates that FW 4.0 is being used already.

This is not a surprise, because it is expected that Apple will release a new iPhone at WWDC 2010 , and every new iPhone model needs a new OS version. The interesting thing is to see that people are still using FW 2.2.1…
