HOW TO INSTALL CRACKED APPLICATIONS ON YOUR iPhone/iPod TOUCH


Ok , since i got a lot of emails lately asking me how to install cracked apps, ive decided to create this small and easy but usefull ( i hope ) tutorial for you guys and girls out there. ( btw do i have any girls reading this blog? that would be dope. let me know, youll get special treatment 😛 ).

So first thing that you need to do is that YOU CANT install cracked apps without a jailbroken device ( iPhone or Touch ). So since i belive in the power of decision and the beauty of options i will offer you 3 methods of installing cracked apps.

  • iTunes method aka .ipa method.
  • SSH method aka direct method.
  • IPAPREP method.

First let me answer some questions for you :

What is SSH?

SSH is a secure way of transferring information (including files) between computers on a network. SFTP is a secure way of transferring files which, despite the name, has little in common with FTP. (definition via link).

What is WinSCP?

WinSCP (Windows Secure copy) is an open source SFTP and FTP client for Microsoft Windows. Its main function is secure file transfer between a local and a remote computer. Beyond this, WinSCP offers basic file manager functionality. For secure transfers, it uses Secure Shell (SSH) and supports the legacy SCP protocol in addition to SFTP. (definition via link).

CRACK iRealSMS 2.0.6

METHOD 1 tested by Funky Space Monkey dot COM readers and it’s working

HOW TO APPLY CRACK? ( explanation by kmichalec )

  • I originally had the Xsellize cracked version 2.0 installed.
  • When I decided I was going to try this, first thing I did, was uninstall that xsellize one.
  • Then, I went and installed the standard, legit version 2.0.6.2 through Cydia.
  • But, again, the key is, once it’s done installing, and sitting at the RESTART SPRINGBOARD prompt, DO NOT RESTART IT YET!!
  • Then, you WinSCP into the phone.
  • Make sure you have the cracked file uncompressed somewhere on your PC.
  • Using WinSCP, copy over the files in the folders in the Applications and Library folders to the same folders on the iPhone. If you do this correctly, it will say that they already exist, and do you want to overwrite them. Say YES ALL.
  • Next, open up the .SH file, so that it opens in a notepad type viewer in WinSCP.
  • I only highlighted each chmod line, as the others just seem to be a copy from your PC to your iPhone, and you already copied the files manually in step 7. Highlight the first CHMOD line, and copy it.
  • Switch back to the right hand window in WinSCP (the iPhone side), and right click on any folder, select Custom Commands and then Execute.
  • Once you have the execute box up, paste in the line you copied from step 9 and hit run.
  • Repeat for second CHMOD line in the .SH file.
  • Once you have run both, you should be done. Now you can hit RESTART SPRINGBOARD on your phone, and it should be working.

Hope this helps. This is exactly how I did it, and I have a full working copy. In fact, even if you installed the 2.0.6.2 version and accidentally hit RESTART SPRINGBOARD before you do the copy and CHMOD, you should be ok. I accidentally did that too. I just completely uninstalled the app through Cydia, and then WinSCP’ed into the phone, and manually deleted any leftover iREalSMS folder still left after the deinstall. Once that was done, I just reinstalled the app through Cydia again, but this time, stopped before RESTART SPRINGBOARD. Then, just follow the directions above.




METHOD 2

  • Install 2.0.6 from cydia ( latest ) .
  • Download this and this ( alt. link )
  • SSH every file to the corresponding directory.
  • SET 4755 permissions to iRealSMS_ ( /Applications/iRealSMS ).
  • SET 0755 to iRealSMS.dylib.  ( /Library/MobileSubstrate/dynamiclibraries ).

METHOD 3 tested by yours truly  and it’s working ( quick reply too )

  • add xsellize source in cydia ( if you didnt already do that ).
  • install iRealSMS 2.0.6 from xsellize.
  • click purchase and then activate untill it asks you for a key code
  • enter key : 6D88Op5Wxup ( please note that there are no 0 (zero) in this key and that it is case-sensitive ; meaning that you need to type the code exactly as you see it there ).
  • once it says that the key is valid and your activated, reboot iphone and voila.

ATTENTION !!! MAC UPDATE 10.5.6 BREAKS DFU MODE FOR iPhone/iPod Touch

I guess you know that 10.5.6 update is here.Although i dot’t have a mac 🙁 , I got literally invaded with this news. But guess what? This update has been found to cause your Mac to stop recognizing your iPhone while in DFU mode, making it impossible to jailbreak and/or unlock it using PwnageTool or QuickPwn. If you need to be able to hack your iPhone or iPod touch for any reason, we suggest you do not update your Mac to 10.5.6 unless you really need to. The Dev Team has been informed of the issue.

Solution :
Do not update untill the dev team  finds a solution.
Install Windows on your mac .

HOW TO FIX IT

  1. Replace the following plugin kexts from within IOUSBFamily.kext with the ones from 10.5.5 and then rebuild kextcache (if you don’t understand this, then you shouldn’t attempt it!)
    • /System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleUSBHub.kext
    • /System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/IOUSBCompositeDriver.kext
  2. Use a USB hub in-between the DFU device and the Mac and insert/reinsert the iPhone’s USB cable.
  3. Use a PwnageTool created .ipsw on Windows! Oh the irony!

CHEAP iPhone WANNABES

Do you remember 2+ years ago when Steve Jobs first said the magic word : ” iPhone ” ? I know you do, but you remember it as a fan, in some cases a worshiper, but still…. You know who remembers that day like it was yesterday ? EVERYBODY in the industry. When the iPhone came out, it ruined everybodys plans. Everybody wants to copy the iPhone, but they didn’t succeed not even today after all this time.

I’m not talking here about the N97, or the android, not even about the Blackberry. Those are still top notch phones, that can be a real threat for the iPhone. But are you aware about the Asian cell phone industry?

HOWTO : CREATE VIDEO RINGTONES FOR YOUR iPhone

Since my last post was Video Wallpapers & Video Ringtones for Your iPhone ,  it thought it might be a great idea to post a tutorial on how to create your own video ringtones. This process is easy, so dont you worry , just be patient 🙂

  • Download Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate ( torrent file ) ( check PlanetMaster.nfo inside the folder…. there youll have the codes to register this app )
  • Install it and fire it up

  • Select Profile MPEG-4(480*320)(*.mp4) Select audio profile quality Highest. Unclick the full vide

  • Drag-n-Drop or FIle-Open the video that you want and click on the clip button on the top menu

PdaNet 1.4.0 PATCH FOR iPhone

First of all do you know what PdaNet is? Well basically if Google brought you here, you do, cause this is what you’ve been searching for. But please be patient and let me do a short description for all the people that have no idea:

PdaNet got popular with Windows Mobile and PalmOS. And now its here for your iPhone. What does it do? Well it allows your laptop or desktop to go online (wireless) by connection it to the iPhone via Wi-Fi.

So , if you browse through cydia, you will find PdaNet ( attention : there are 2 versions ). But they are not free. So in order for you to patch it, and break free from all of the restriction that you get with the free version , you got to do this :

  • Download Patch here
  • Install PdaNet 1.4.0 from Cydia ( MAKE SURE ITS 1.4.0 )
  • SSH into iPhone
  • Navigate too /var/stash/Applications.XYZWAHF/PdaNet.app/ ( XYZWAHF means that you will need to find the wierd named folder where PdaNet.app is )
  • Overwrite the PdaNet folder with the one from the link.
  • Set the permissions to 0755
  • Reboot iPhone/iPod for patch to take effect

Mac or PC:
Files allows you to store and view files on your iPhone or iPod touch. You can connect to Files over Wifi from any Mac or PC and drag and drop files straight from the Finder or Windows Explorer, as you would with any other shared folder.
In fact any client which understands the WebDAV protocol can connect to Files.

Security:
You can secure remote access to your data by setting a username and password. And with guest access enabled, friends on your local Wifi network can browse your “Public” folder.

Viewing Files:
Files supports viewing of many common file types, including most Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents, PDF documents, images, text, html, movie and audio files. Documents and images are all displayed fullscreen, in portrait or landscape mode. Zoom and pan via the standard pinch and swipe gestures.

– Most Microsoft Office document are viewable, including limited support for xml documents (Office 2007).
– Image, movie and audio file support is limited to those formats supported by the iPhone OS.
– Apple iWork documents are not formally supported. However if you zip the document before transferring to Files (e.g. Readme.pages.zip) then it will display correctly.

Bookmarks:
Add bookmarks to longer documents to quickly get at important or often viewed information. And Files remembers where you last stopped reading a document, so that next time you can continue right where you left off.

Managing Files:
Use search to find and filter files easily; and delete unwanted items with a simple swipe and tap. You can even set a disk quota to prevent Files using up too much space on your device.

With Files you can take documents with you wherever your iPhone or iPod touch goes, view them and transfer them easily to any compatible Mac or PC.

MEWSEEK – SOULSEEK NATIVE P2P APP FOR iPhone/iPod

Have i told you how much i love my iPhone? Well today i love it even more. While i was browsing through Cydia , i found this app called MewSeek which is basically a native version of SoulSeek P2P client for iPhone or iPod touch. MewSeek formerly known as iSlsk in 1.1.x ) is a native P2P SoulSeek client that lets you search and download music or any other files straight to your iPhone/iPhone 3G or iPod Touch using either EDGE, Wi-Fi or 3G connection
