Realmac Brings Back The Original Clear App, Going Free For 24 Hours

making thing right

clear-iphone-ipad-FSMdotCOM

Late last year, Realmac Software released a new version of Clear called Clear+ that was built for iOS 7, and an universal app ( iPhone and iPad ). The new app also came as a paid upgrade for existing users and the original Clear was removed from the App Store. With this move, Realmac created confusion and frustration among existing and potential users. Existing users were upset that the company no longer updated the old version and potential customers were confused about which version to buy, or even worse mistakenly buying the iPhone version when they wanted the universal version.

But, Realmac is making things right by updating the old version of Clear for iOS 7 and making it available in the App Store. The company returns to just one universal version of Clear for iOS, with the original version of Clear gaining iPad support. If you already own a copy of Clear, all you need to is update Clear via the App Store.

Also, since Apple doesn’t offer a way to migrate users between copies of an App, Realmac is making the app free to download for 24 hours so owners of Clear+ can move to the correct version for free.
