In a lengthy letter, Cook apologized to customers in China, where Apple had been accused of intentionally avoiding warranty replacements for iPhones and Mac computers in order to skirt local laws that would require a new full warranty on the replacement products.
Tim Cook has already issued two major apologies in his short time as chief executive at Apple, and the latest came earlier this week. In a lengthy letter, Cook apologized to customers in China, where Apple had been accused of intentionally avoiding warranty replacements for iPhones and Mac computers in order to skirt local laws that would require a new full warranty on the replacement products.
