Alongside OS X 10.10 Yosemite and iOS 8, probably the biggest announcement today was Apple’s new Programming language, Swift. Craig Federighi said today on stage at WWDC 2014 that Apple is trying to build a language that doesn’t have the “baggage” of Objective-c. The programming language comes from NeXT and has formed the basis of OS X and eventually iOS.
