MuscleNerd lets us know that a jailbreak for all iOS devices rocking iOS 4 is on its way, and the tool of choice will be Spirit
Yesterday, we told you that MuscleNerd and PlanetBeing are cooking a baseband unlock for iPhone 4, and today they announced they got the baseband bootrom. All they have to do right now is to compare it with the one on 3G/3Gs and check for bug fixes and possible exploits.

Requirements
• Any iPhone or iPod touch on firmware 3.1.2, 3.1.3 and iPad 3.2.
• An activated device: one not stuck on the Connect to iTunes or Emergency Call screen.
• Any version of iTunes 9 (including 9.1.1).
• Spirit tool

On Thursday, we told you that Spirit will not be released on Friday ( won’t be released on Saturday either ), but the tool is definitely inch away from launch. The screenshot above, is an early preview of the GUI, but ( probably ) not the final version. You should expect changes. Remember that :
BE AWARE:
There are fake Spirit tools running around in the wild. Don’t trust any of them, Spirit was not released yet. Wait for an official release.
At the moment, this is all we can tell/show you , but we will keep you updated as soon as possible. Stay tuned…

Ok, things were pretty hectic since we posted this. Bottom line. This was just a huge misunderstanding. The GUI that we posted above was just a mockup GUI, and they never intended to use it on the tool. We fuck it up from time to time, accept our apologies… Thx chpwn ….
Bottom line is that everybody is working really hard, and Spirit will be released as soon as possible. Will it be released tomorrow? Don’t get your hopes up…
I am assuming that you all know about Spirit , and i am also assuming that some of you know that the release date will be tomorrow. First of all , let’s clarify what Spirit is:
As you can see in the screenshot above, 3rd party devs are working hard, and apps like SBSettings are already up and running on the iPad, and in a perfect world Spirit will be released tomorrow. However an ETA is just an ETA and there are a couple of issues that could delay the release.
Issues that can delay the release:
Bottom line is that everybody is working really hard, and Spirit will be released as soon as possible. Will it be released tomorrow? Don’t get your hopes up…
