HOW TO: Turn On Automatic HTTPS Upgrade in Safari on iOS 13

How to turn on automatic HTTPS upgrade in Safari on iOS 13

In iOS 13 go to Settings>Safari>Advanced>Experimental Features> turn on Automatic HTTPS upgrade.

HTTPS is a protocol that provides secure Internet transactions between web browsers and web sites. You can check to see if the web page you are visiting uses HTTPS by making sure that the URL at the top of your browser begins with HTTPS rather than HTTP. The “S” stands for secure. Some browsers also indicate that you are using a secure connection by displaying a closed lock in the corner of the browser.

HTTPS protects users from certain kinds of Internet surveillance. By encrypting your connection, HTTPS prevents eavesdroppers from seeing the contents of your communication with a website, including potentially sensitive data such as the contents of your email and chats, login credentials, search terms, and credit card numbers. Many sites support the use of HTTPS, but may not turn it on by default. Other sites have failed to implement HTTPS at all.

easily close all open Safari tabs on iOS 7

iOS-7-Safari-on-iPhoneIf you’re using Mobile Safari on your iOS 7 device, chances are you have a bunch of open tabs. It’s a bit of a pain to close them one by one but, luckily there’s a new jailbreak tweak called CloseAll that eliminates the process of closing tabs one by one. With this tweak installed, all you have to do is tap and hold on just one of the close buttons for a few seconds, and then let go to close out of all of the open tabs at once.

CloseAll is available for free on Cydia via BigBoss repo…

Safari 7.0 Can Preview Adobe Photoshop .psd Files

Here’s a quick tip: Safari 7.0 in OS X Mavericks can preview Adobe Photoshop ( .psd file ).

safari-psd-open-1-FSMdotCOM

Here’s a quick tip: Safari 7.0 in OS X Mavericks can preview Adobe Photoshop ( .psd file ). To do preview a .psd file in Safari, you can either open it from a link and it will show up just like a .pdf file for example ( see below ), or just drag-an-drop the file onto Safari ( see above ).

safari-psd-preview-FSMdotCOM

Of course Preview in OS X can also preview .psd file, but because Safari can do it now, you won’t need to download the files to preview them. NOTE: Safari can also open .eps files ( no idea if it could do that before ), and apparently it can open Adobe Illustrator ( .ai file ) too, but don’t take my word on that. Try a few files to see if it work or not…
