According to the Korea Times, Apple has reportedly commenced production on its ‘iPad pro’, scheduled for an early 2014 release.The source, an official at a local Apple supplier in Korea, claims the 12.9-inch retina display tablet will have improved picture quality. ‘as the apple partner intends to boost its lineup for displays that have almost ultra high-definition (UHD) quality, the upcoming iPad will provide very clear quality similar to that of UHD. The display is now being manufactured by the supplier’s plant (LG electronics) in Korea.‘

Earlier today, we told you that there is a strong possibility the iPhone 5S will come with a gold color option, 128GB storage option and a larger F2.0 aperture camera. Now, french site iPhon.fr has posted a few pictures of what looks to ( allegedly ) be the mid frame for a gold iPhone 5S. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 5S on Sept. 10, alongside ( maybe ) a less expensive iPhone 5C.

Today, Tactus shares a photo of what is said to be the rear shell of Apple’s rumored lower-cost iPhone. In line with previous rumors, the part appears to be manufactured from plastic. The part is also consistent with iLounge‘s January description of the device, carrying a design somewhat similar to the iPod classic with a flat back and curved edges, as well as a shift to elongated volume buttons along the left side.

Apple To Begin Production Of A 5th Generation iPad In July-August [rumor]

The new iPad is believed to be “thinner and lighter” than the currently shipping full-sized iPad.

A July-August ramp up of production runs counter to many of the earlier rumors that had suggested the iPad launch as early as April. The new iPad is believed to be “thinner and lighter” than the currently shipping full-sized iPad. The 5th Generation iPad is also believed to take on the same thin-bezel design as the iPad mini. The above mockup is based on leaked iPad 5 enclosures from early this year.
