About a week ago, we told you that pod2g has joined forces with planetbeing, MuscleNerd and p0sixninja and they are all working together now to find a way to release the iPhone 4S/iPad 2 jailbreak. Well it turns out this jailbreak is truly going to be a team effort, and according to MuscleNerd saurik made some major contributions yesterday and they’ve moved forward. Luckily, the Chronic DevTeam is not the only one working on a jailbreaking tool at the moment, and a userland jailbreak for iPhone 3Gs ( new bootrom ) will be released, but only after Apple will drop iOS 4.2 scheduled for next month.
Yesterday, we told you that greenpois0n – the first jailbreaking tool that will use the SHAtter exploit – will be released on Sunday. Unfortunately, the tool will only work on devices with an A4 chip ; so basically you can use it only if you have an iPhone 4, iPad, iPod Touch 4 and AppleTV 2G.

SHAtter is the name of the exploit and not the name of the new jailbreaking tool. The name of the tool is unknown, and will be until they release it. Maybe it’s greenpois0n, maybe not. Name is really not important…
