Apple today announced Apple Pay, a new category of service that will transform mobile payments with an easy, secure and private way to pay.

Apple today announced Apple Pay, a new category of service that will transform mobile payments with an easy, secure and private way to pay. Apple Pay works with iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus through a groundbreaking NFC antenna design, a dedicated chip called the Secure Element, and the security and convenience of Touch ID. Apple Pay is easy to set up, so hundreds of millions of users can simply add their credit or debit card on file from their iTunes Store account. Apple Pay will also work with the newly announced Apple Watch, extending Apple Pay to over 200 million owners of iPhone 5, iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s worldwide.

Apple To Releases iOS 8 on September 17th

With new iPhones comes new software, so with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus going on sale soon iOS 8 should be on its way too.

With new iPhones comes new software, so with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus going on sale soon iOS 8 should be on its way too. Apple confirmed that the next-fen iOS will arrive next week, on September 17th, as a free download. In case you’re wondering, iOS 8 will be able to run on:

  • iPhone 4s and up
  • iPad 2 and up
  • Fifth-gen iPod Touch

The iOS has not been changed much since we last seen it at WWDC back in June ( and you can read about it here ), but it will include Apple Pay – a new feature that allows iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users to make payments via NFC.

Apple To Launch E-Wallet Service by 2014 [rumor]

Gene Munster, the famous analyst with Piper Jaffray, has a big hunch that Apple will release an e-wallet in the coming years. Some have suggested the e-wallet would feature fingerprint scanning, but Munster says we’re a long ways from that and probably won’t see the service until 2014.
