What Apple Needs To Do With iPhone OS 4.0 And iPhone 4G To Minimize The Droid Competition

Steve’s best moments might just passed him, and now other companies discovered Apple’s Achilles heel and they are targeting Apple from every direction. Meet Droid…

You know how it goes : Apple never asks if you need something, they just create it and they make you realize that it is the product you’ve been waiting all your life to own. And that is not a problem, because uncle Steve is a brilliant visionary and 99% of the time he knew exactly what to create. Steve Wozniak: My New Favorite Gadget Is Google’s Nexus One

Woz recently confessed that his new favorite gadget is not the iPhone but Google’s Nexus One.

Although the mighty Woz is the only man that “figured out how to fix iPhone’s battery life problem” , he recently confessed that his new favorite gadget is not the iPhone but Google’s Nexus One.  His main device will still be the iPhone, but he loves to spend time and play with the newly released Google device. Because of who Woz is, this is certainly good publicity for Google , and might fix Google’s  low sales numbers we reported yesterday.

Nexus One Sold 20,000 Units In First Week. iPhone 3GS Sold 1.6 million

Flurry also estimates that iPhone 3Gs sold 1.6 million units in its opening week, which basic second grade math tells us that it outsold Google’s Nexus One by 80 times.

Since back in November we’ve talked about Droid’s sales in the first week, we think it is only fair to talk about the latest major iPhone competitor: Nexus One. Palm Pre , Motorola Droid and Nexus One… the only 3 major iPhone competitors and none of them got even close to iPhone sales in the first week.

Flurry estimates that Google sold around 20,000 units in the first week , being outnumbered by Motorola Droid as well with 250,000 units in the first week.

Apple and Google – one time friends – started a fight for the ages because they offer the best that Silicon Valley has to offer. You might remember that Apple had to buy Ad firm Quattro because Google snatched Admob without Apple even having time to make an offer. And that’s how it all started.

if you are confused about which phone suits you best, this is chart is exactly what you need.

Yesterday, we presented you a side by side specs comparison of the top smart phones on the market. At that time, Google’s Nexus One specs were only based on some leaks, but today was the big day, when Google finally had the conference and presented their baby.
