Now you can hide NewsStand in iOS 5 and iOS 6 without jailbreaking your phone
For me, one of the most useless apps that was ever included on iOS was NewsStand. I refuse to pay the extortionate rates for newspapers or magazines available within the store, when I can just check it out on the web or grab a cheaper copy from my local newsagents.

New day, new tweak in Cydia. With Booksstand you can add shortcuts for your favorite books and PDFs in the Newsstand folder and access them directly in the iBooks app. You no longer have to crawl through countless book collections to find what you need, since all your favorite content (both books & periodicals/newspapers) will be in one place.

Apparently you can move any folder inside a second folder, without having to jailbreak your device and installing 3rd party tweaks, if you’re quick enough.
With iOS5, Apple introduced Newsstand, a new feature which comes with a dedicated folder on the homescreen of your device and will allow you to easily find and subscribe to all sorts of magazines and newspapers.
Since this is a feature and the icon you see on your Springboard it’s not an app, but a folder, you pretty much can’t move Newsstand into a user created folder ( at least not without jailbreaking ). Or can you?
